Signs and symptoms of a stroke may include anÂ inability to moveor feel on one side of the body,Â problems understandingÂ orÂ speaking,Â feeling like the world is spinning, orÂ loss of vision to one sideamong others.Â Signs and symptoms often appear soon after the stroke has occurred. If symptoms last less than one or two hours it is known as aÂ transient ischemic attackÂ (TIA).Â Hemorrhagic strokes may also be associated with a severeÂ headache.Â The symptoms of a stroke can be permanent.Â Long term complications may includeÂ pneumoniaÂ orÂ loss of bladder control.
